Connect2 - People Places Pride

Completing the Hastings - Bexhill Coastal Connection needs your support.

The scheme is part of the Connect2 project which is competing for a £50million grant from the Big Lottery Fund's 'The People's £50 Million Contest'. This is one of four projects competing for the grant. The winning project will be decided by a television vote held over the weekend of 7 - 10 December. Each of the four projects will be featured in ITV programmes in the week commencing 3rd December. Connect2 will feature on Tuesday 4th December.

Connect2 is a national project made up of 79 individual schemes, of which the Hastings - Bexhill Coastal Connection is one. The project aims to improve walking and cycling facilities in local communities across the UK. The Hastings - Bexhill Coastal Connection will become part of the National Cycle Network which runs along the south coast of England.

Without the Big Lottery Fund's money it is unlikely that that Connect2 project can be completed - therefore your vote counts. So make the connection, and cast your vote.

The scheme is supported by East Sussex County Council, Hastings Borough Council, Rother District Council and Sustrans. Hastings Urban Bikes is also a key supporter of the scheme and is working with local people to increase involvement and raise awareness.
